Pitch Nation offers an all-encompassing, humorous, yet unsympathetic look into the journey of ideas from conception to the screen. The film dispels common misconceptions, provides insight into the process from start to finish and examines the subtle and not-so-subtle differences between amateur and professional. The outsider will never see the business of Hollywood the same way again.

Pitch Nation is a documentary film about the process of bringing movie and television ideas to the screen, seen from three different perspectives: the amateur, the professional and the decision-maker. The film follows each in their pursuit of the ever-elusive “green light” as they navigate their way through meetings, conferences, festivals and even counseling. Between these journeys are interviews with various well-respected executives, producers, writers, directors, and actors all imparting their wisdom and helping pull back the curtain on this exhilarating, terrifying, yet necessary process from pitch to premiere.
